We start early today and cover a distance of 354kms. The first 250kms is quick, on the smooth Yamuna express highway. The remaining road is dotted with villages along the way. Our stop for tonight is Datiya, an ancient town in the Bundlekhand region, where we stay at a modest MP Tourism hotel. Its a clean, quite place atop a hillock with a view of an ancient fort near a lake. Though not fancy, its an ideal place to stay the night as it’s on the highway and makes our exit out of Datiya super easy the next day.

We head out onto the road after breakfast towards Panna, our destination for the day. Panna National Park is one of the best maintained parks in Madya Pradesh. The ride from Datiya to Panna takes about 5 hours and we can make it to Ken River Lodge for lunch. Overlooking the Ken River the lodge is a classy getaway which lets you rough it out in style.  You can spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the beauty of nature. A boat ride in the river can be arrange for those interested. Dinner at the lovely Machaan restaurant will be the perfect end to another great day.

We start our day with a Jungle Safari at the Panna National Park. Here we will set off in Jeeps in search of the elusive Tiger. Besides the Tiger you could be lucky enough to spot the other famed wildlife found here like the Wolf, Chital, Sloth Bear, Chinkara to name just a few. After an exhilerating safari we head back to Ken River Lodge for a scrumptous brunch and back onto the road towards Bandhavgarh. Approximately after 5 hours of riding we will reach Bandhavgarh, our next stop on the itinerary. Here we will be undwinding at the Kings Lodge. A luxurious getaway in the middle of the wild country and only 10 mins away from the Bandhavgarh National Park.

Today we do the safari of the Bandhavgarh National Park and either we are luckier than at Panna or as lucky to spot some more Tigers. For those who would not like to do a second jungle safari, we can arrange for a visit to the village, a bird walk or a picnic at the water bodies. After a morning of exploring we head back to the Kings Lodge for a lazy breakast and a day of enjoying the serenity of nature. An evening safari can also be arranged for those interested.

After an early breakfast we head onto the road towards Jabalpur Airport to catch your flight back to Delhi.
