We start the day early to get out of the city before the office rush hour and  get onto the Delhi-Jaipur Highway where we have ample options to stop for breakfast. The highway is smooth tarmac with traffic at some locations. We are riding to the ‘Venice of the East’, i.e. Udaipur today, a city filled with lakes and winding streets. We reach Udaipur by evening where we will be staying at one of the many beautiful hotels along the lakeside. Dinner can be enjoyed with a view of the lake and the shimmering city lights.

Today we leave the state of Rajasthan and make our way to the state of Gujrat. Gujrat is also known as the “Jewel of Western India” which has a booming economy and great infrastructure thus our journey today is again on wide smooth highways. Lunch will be a quick stop en-route. Our stop for the night will be at the erstwhile Portugese colony, Daman and Diu. Daman and Diu is a lovely beach side town with Portuguese styled architechture and a laid back feel to it. Here we can enjoy dinner with the sound of the waves at our preferred beach side hotel.

Again we cross states today from Gujrat into Maharashtra. We have another early start and head onto highway. The route starts to get pictureques today as we near the coastal region. Our final stop for today is the private planned city near Pune – Lavasa. Lavasa is stylistically based on the Italian town of Portofino, a good place to relax, unwind and recharge for the next day.

Today onward the saddle hours are comparatively less and we are greener geography. We head onto the Konkon highway after a hearty breakfast. The route is picturesque dotted with small towns and villages along the way. We stop along the way for lunch and head onwards to our stop for the day at Ratnagiri. Ratnagiri is a port city on the Arabian Sea coast with abundant rice fields, cocunuts and mangoes growing in different seasons. We unwind at a beautiful sea side hotel for dinner and a good night’s sleep.

Today is another day of riding along the Western ghats on the Konkan highway. We’re headed to our final stop of this tour – Goa. We leave Ratnagiri after breakfast and ride on the winding scenic road. We have lunch en-route before getting back on our motorcycles to conclude our 2100+ kms journey from the National Capital region to the the holiday capital of India.
